National and International Postage Delays
Our main freight carrier Australia Post is seeing unprecedented amounts of freight within their network. With the huge increase of parcels on top of the Covid-19 crisis, there are naturally some delays in the system. This page we are trying to keep up to date as much as possible to give our customers as much information as possible as to the possible delays with their orders.
Did you know MySite Safety is based in WA? Our customers in WA are seeing little to no delays. SA is not too bad either. The most complaints we’re seeing are customers in Victoria that are shipping by the standard shipping method. Below is the latest information we have from Australia Post.
Australia
Last updated 2 October 2020
Australia Post is adapting to the challenges presented by the pandemic, which means their normal practice of delivery has been impacted. As a result, they’re experiencing substantial delays in there network.
These delays are due to:
a reduction in air freight capacity and passenger flights (which also carry their parcels)
a significant increase in parcels volumes, many of which require manual sorting
health and safety requirements in their network (such as social distancing through zoning, and dedicated shift start times to reduce cross-over of workers)
We know these delays are frustrating, and they’re doing everything they can to keep delivering as safely and quickly as possible.
Victoria destined parcels
With the massive demand and current workforce capacity constraints in Victoria, they foresee an additional 3-day delay for all deliveries in Victoria.
Express Post delays
Their Express Post service is seeing significant delays in delivery. This means that while they continue to prioritise Express Post, and most parcels shipped via this service arrive on time, some could take 5 business days or more to reach their destination.
Tracking tool
Their tracking tool provides you with the most accurate guidance on estimated delivery dates and advises you of any delays while your parcel is in transit.
Post Offices will remain open during this difficult time and their posties and drivers remain on the road.
While they’re doing everything they can to deliver your online purchases as safely and quickly as possible, they hope you understand that these additional restrictions may cause further delays.
